Het nummer werd oorspronkelijk opgenomen door George Jones op zijn album You Oughta Be Here with Me uit 1990 en gecoverd door Kenny Rogers op zijn album If Only My Heart Had a Voice uit 1993. Rogers’ versie werd in augustus 1993 als single uitgebracht.
